Showcase is our annual exhibition of the arts where our participants/artists have the opportunity to exhibit and sell their work.
Participants of the NDIS are invited to apply for the Showcase and make their mark as an artist!

If you’re an artist on the NDIS (you don’t have to be part of Sparrow Collective) and have some work you’d like to present at the Showcase, you’re welcome to register. Space is limited, but we try our best to allow everyone an opportunity to be involved.

All you need to know.

Submit the registration form by Friday 26th September 2025 (see form button on website).
Drop off your work between 22nd September - 3rd October, 9-5pm, at Sparrow Studio: Level 1, 208 Whitehorse Rd, Balwyn.
At this time, the curation team will review your work, guide you in pricing and take a photo for your profile.
Anyone who is interested in doing a performance piece(s) for opening night, to fill out the application form and a Sparrow staff will contact you to talk more.

Must be presented professionally. For Visual / Digital art / Photography, this may be framed, or on cork / foam board, or a printed canvas.
No larger than 1 meter by 1 meter. Some exceptions to size can be made, please contact us if you have a special request.
Sculptors and Potters must think about how they will safely mount their works on the plinth.

Up to three pieces per artist.

It’s what you made your work with. For example, water colour paint, black and white film, stoneware ceramic or guitar in the studio. Speak with your instructor or Support Worker if you are unsure.

Yes. This year what we will be doing is asking guests to give a donation starting at $5 that will go into a pool of funds and then it will be divided up and shared amongst the performers at the end of the showcase.
Please keep in mind.
Showcases are all about you getting the chance to showcase your ability with the wider community. They cost a lot to put on, which Sparrow Collective & My Plan Manager are happy to do, so you don’t have to, you have a free platform. -
No. You can choose to put a 'not-for-sale' sign and just display your skills.

The curation team will guide you in pricing your work, so that there is consistency throughout the show in the price ranges.

A red dot will be placed beside your work if you sell it. When the exhibition ends, we will process the payment of the buyers and deduct only 10% this year (just to help cover showcase costs), instead of Montsalvat’s usual 33%. The remaining amount will be paid into your account within approximately 14 working days.

(Feel free to leave a donation for the performers or to buy an artwork).

Yes, wheel chair ramps, and level 1 access via the lift.

Yes, you can invite as many of them as you like to view the showcase during the opening hours stated above.
